The objectives of the center can be summarized as follows:
Developing the performance of faculty members and administrative staff working at the university by enhancing the technical, administrative, and academic skills that help improve their job performance.
Preparing training programs and advanced educational materials in accordance with the latest educational methods and techniques, in the technical, administrative, and academic fields.
Conducting research and studies, and designing the necessary survey tools to investigate the needs of the target groups of the performance development process in order to set development priorities.
Organizing conferences, seminars, training workshops, and brainstorming sessions, and identifying the participating groups for the purpose of exchanging expertise.
Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the President.
The center has a council composed of eleven members appointed by the University President after consulting the Deans' Council, for a renewable term of two years. The University President also selects one of them as the head of the council. The Council of the Center for the Development of Faculty Members' Performance has the following authorities:
Formulating the general policy of the center and approving its programs and plans.
Discussing the center's budget and submitting it to the President for approval.
Discussing and approving the annual report on the center's work and activities.
Considering any other matters related to the center's objectives that are submitted by the Council President.
