Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest, oldest, and most diverse engineering disciplines. It contributes to all areas of life.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in 2014 within the College of Engineering, which includes many engineering specialties to form and other disciplines, a strategic human stock of qualified engineers for the labor market.
The department awards two bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and a master's in renewable energy engineering. These two programs have been prepared in line with the principles and standards of global engineering education and in a way that serves development goals and plans at the regional and international levels to schedule an engineer capable of working in various fields within the scope of mechanical engineering and renewable energy. The department currently includes nine faculty members in various disciplines, as these cadres contribute to many leading research activities in major local and international research institutions.
The department provides modern facilities and advanced laboratories, and multiple engineering workshops that provide a technical and scientific environment for the Faculty of Engineering.
