Software Engineering is a relatively new discipline in information technology. This specialization has emerged to meet the needs of the labor market by finding people with experience and knowledge in matters related to the design and structure of software building to access integrated software based on a solid foundation that keeps abreast of developments and challenges in the modern technology era.
Hence the need to establish a software engineering department under the umbrella of the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of the most expensive men, Al Hussein bin Talal University. The Software Engineering Department was established in 2009 together with the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Computer Information Systems, based on the development of new and updated study plans that correspond to the needs of the market and the work, in addition to providing the faculty members with competence and high efficiency to compete with other universities.
