Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2008 and offers a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering – General, with four main tracks: Structures, Water and Environment, Transportation and Traffic, and Project Management.

The department currently includes eleven faculty members of various academic ranks and specializations, including Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying, Water and Irrigation Engineering, and Green Buildings. The department is dedicated to providing high-quality academic education that integrates theory with practical application, aiming to graduate highly competent engineers.

The department is also equipped with a number of laboratories featuring the latest devices and modern technologies, supervised by qualified and well-trained engineers, which significantly enhance the practical skills of students. 

The department aims to develop specialized professionals in the various fields of civil engineering to meet the needs of the local market—particularly in the southern governorates of Jordan, which are experiencing continuous growth in engineering projects and infrastructure development.
