Al Hussein Bin Talal University honors participants in training programs for faculty members and confirms the continuation of the academic development process

Professor Atef Al-Kharabsheh, President of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, patronized a ceremony honoring the participants and trainers involved in the training programs implemented by the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance during the 2024/2025 academic year. The programs targeted 275 faculty members in recognition of their efforts in successfully implementing the annual training plan aimed at enhancing the educational process and improving its outcomes.
In his speech, Professor Al-Kharabsheh emphasized the important role of the Center for Academic Development in keeping pace with the rapid changes in teaching and learning methods. He praised the efforts of both trainers and trainees, noting that the educational process has become dynamic and continuously evolving, requiring ongoing updates to knowledge and skills.
He pointed out that the university is moving steadily toward developing the capabilities of its faculty members through specialized training courses aligned with the requirements of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission. He affirmed the university's commitment to covering the costs of these programs, whether implemented internally or externally, believing that enhancing faculty competencies is a top priority.
The University President also stressed the importance of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into various aspects of university operations, considering them a necessity imposed by rapid technological developments. He called for swift adaptation to these advancements and highlighted the university's efforts to restructure and develop its various centers, including the Center for Academic Development, the Center for Studies and Consultations, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in a way that strengthens the university's position and serves both students and the local community.
For his part, Dr. Fadi Hmeidat, Director of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, explained that the ceremony was organized to recognize faculty members participating in the training programs and the trainers who contributed to the success of the center's annual plan. He noted that the center implemented ten specialized training courses covering e-learning, modern teaching methods, generative artificial intelligence, prompt engineering, cybersecurity, the National Qualifications Framework, and strategic planning.
He added that the center has prepared a new training plan for the upcoming semester, which includes specialized programs in quality standards, academic exchange, scientific research skills, academic supervision, data analysis, regulatory legislation, and cybersecurity. He emphasized that the real challenge lies in transforming training outcomes into actual practices within classrooms and academic programs.
Dr. Hmeidat further noted that these efforts contribute to improving the university's global ranking and enhancing its opportunities to obtain international academic accreditations through measurable performance indicators linked to educational quality, research development, and improving the efficiency of academic staff.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation and appreciation were distributed to participants and trainers, with a renewed commitment to continuing joint efforts to promote a culture of quality and excellence and to strengthen the academic environment at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University.
