The President of Al Hussein bin Talal University, Prof. Dr. Atef Al Kharabshah, met in his office with Mr. Edward Prados, Executive Director of the American Fulbright Program in Jordan, and the accompanying delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America in Amman, in the presence of the Director of the Department of International Relations Relations, Dr.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation with American universities and institutions in academic and scientific research were discussed, providing an opportunity for faculty members and students at the university to learn about other experiences and cultures.
The importance of aligning higher education outputs with labour market requirements was also discussed through the development of university programs, study plans and training and practical programs to meet labour market requirements.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Kharabshah confirmed his support for cultural exchange programmes for students of the University, which contribute to the refinement of students' personalities, the development of their talents and the upgrading of their cultural and educational level, including the Fulbright Programme, which seeks to build mutual understanding among nations, promote knowledge among communities, conduct research and exchange ideas and improve livelihoods.
The United States Embassy delegation's International Relations Service organized a meeting with faculty members of the University to talk about the project RAWABIT, funded by the United States Department of State and implemented by the Jordanian-American Committee for Educational Exchange, aims at strengthening academic cooperation and communication between members of the teaching staff of Jordanian and American universities by providing the necessary support for the travel of faculty members to cooperate in the field of scientific research and international projects.
