Dr. Khaled M. Matrouk obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering/ Communication Engineering stream from Yarmouk University, Jordan, in 1996 and his M. Sc. degree in Communication and Electrical Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), in 2001. He obtained his second M. Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Newcastle University, Australia, in 2003, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sydney University, Australia, in 2008

Between 1996 and 1999 he was a Communications Engineer at Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC). Since 2009 he has been with the Department of Computer Engineering at Al Hussein Bin Talal University (AHU), where he is currently an associate professor. Dr. Matrouk has taught several courses in Computer and Wireless Networking


Dr. Matrouk has been involved in several international cooperation programs, including a TEMPUS project in wireless networking. He is a reviewer for several (mainly IEEE and Elsevier) publications. He is the chairman of Computer Symposium in international conference (JIEEEC 2017) organized by Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) for Research and Studies


Dr. Matrouk is the founder of the Electrical Engineering department as well as the Computer Networks Laboratory at AHU. Also, he is the founder of the Computer Engineering and Networks master degree program at AHU. In addition, he is a senior member of the IEEE. Research interests of Dr. Matrouk are focused on Cloud and Fog Computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and Wireless Sensor Networks
