الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء تطور ممارسات المحاسبة الادارية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية اعتمادا على بيان (IFAC (IMAPS 1), 1998)، وقد كان الاستقصاء حول خمسة ابعاد في المحاسبة الادارية تضمنت انظمة التكاليف والموازنات وتقييم الاداء والمعلومات لاتخاذ القرار والتحليل الاستراتيجي. ولقد تم تصميم استبانة وتوزيعها على 95 شركة صناعية في الاردن استرد منها 87 استبانة. استخدم في هذه الدراسة تحليلات الاحصاء الوصفي والتحليل المتقدم. وقد اشارت النتائج الى استخدام واهمية استخدام منخفضة لاغلب تلك التقنيات سواء التقليدية او المتقدمة، كما اظهرت ان الشركات الصناعية الاردنية اتجهت نحو استخدام تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية المتقدمة للمرحلة الثالثة الا انها بطيئة فيما يتعلق بالمرحلة الرابعة الاكثر تطورا. وقد اوصت الدراسة الشركات الصناعية الاردنية التوجه نحو تبني تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية التي تساهم في خلق القيمة من خلال استخدام الموارد بفاعلية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة فيما إذا كانت الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية تستخدم تحليلات النشاط ونظامي تكاليف وإدارة الأنشطة، وكذلك بيان اثر تطبيق تحليلات النشاط ونظام ABC في تبني نظام ABM. كما استهدفت الدراسة ايضا بيان مجالات ومستويات الاستفادة من هذه التطبيقات. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة طوّرت استبانة تضمنت خمساً وأربعين فقرة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية المدرجة في النشرة السنوية لبورصة عمان لعام 2012، وقد خضع للتحليل الإحصائي 54 استبانة بما نسبته 77.14% من مجتمع البحث (70 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في البحث اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد. وقد أظهر الدراسة أن الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية تقوم بممارسة تحليل الأنشطة وتطبيق نظام ABC، وقد كان لهذه الممارسة اثر في تبني تلك الشركات لنظام إدارة الأنشطة ABM. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن تلك الشركات تستخدم - بنسب متفاوتة- نظامي ABC و ABM في المجالات الإدارية المختلفة. وقد أوصت الدراسة بالاستمرار في تطبيق هذه الأنظمة والتوسع في استخدامها وبشكل خاص في مجالات التخطيط الاستراتيجي وتحليل ربحية المنتجات والمستهلكين.

الملخص: This study has two main objectives. The first one is to address the relationship between Economic Value Added (EVA) and Created Shareholders Value (CSV) in Jordanian public industrial firms (JPIF), comparing to the Return on Assets (ROA) over the period 2011-2015. The second objective is to address the possible superiority of EVA to ROA by explaining the changes in CSV for JPIF. In this study, CSV is measured using two models; Fernandez model and market value added model. Multiple and simple regressions were used in the study. These analyses have shown, generally, that the superiority of EVA in predicting and evaluating the CSV could be put into a conclusive and positive light compared to ROA. However, the results suggested that one financial measure cannot be enough to measure neither CSV nor firms‟ performance. Therefore, this study highly recommends that JPIF use a combination of different measure in assessing and evaluating their value and performance, especially modern indicators.

الملخص: This paper aims at exploring how the mechanisms of corporate governance (audit committee size, CEO duality, board size, female board members and board composition) affect the firm performance. Based on data from 66 out of 69 firms, which represents (95.6%) of Jordanian publicly quoted manufacturing firms covering a five-year period (2008–2012), the use of multiple regression analysis was done for assessing how each of the mechanisms of corporate governance relates to firm performance. The empirical findings of this study suggest that size of firm and Tobin's Q and ROA shows a significant positive correlation, while leverage and ROA show significant correlations. Results indicate that CEO duality and size of board have negative correlation with ROA, while non-executive directors' proportion shows a positive correlation with ROA. No relationship was recognized between the female board members' proportion and audit committee size and ROA. Conversely, the variables of corporate governance do not show a relation with measure of market performance, which supports the argument that market-based performance measures are impartial when economic circumstances are normal in context of emerging markets. The paper provides insight into better understanding how the various mechanisms of corporate governance are related to the performance of firm given the scenario of a small emerging market of non-oil-producing country

الملخص: The purpose of this study is to investigate corporate governance’s quality for Shareholding Companies Listed on the Amman Stock Exchange; to see how corporate governance index (CGI) and firm performance and firm value are associated; and last but not the least is to check how CGI affects firm performance and firm value. A comprehensive CGI containing 112 points was constructed and analyzed for years 2010 and 2015. It reported that the Jordanian industrial and service companies have a good CGI during these two years. Pearson correlation has showed positive but weak relationships between CGI and all variables in the two years. Multiple regression analysis was performed to evaluate corporate governance index effects on the performance and the value of firm. The results did not support the hypotheses that CGI significantly affects these two variables. To reach to better corporate governance in Jordanian industrial and service companies, the Jordanian authorities might need to modify the inconsistence between laws and corporate governance rules.

الملخص: This study investigates the practices of earnings management in Jordanian Industrial Corporations (JIC) after the mandatory adoption of the Improvements of the International Accounting Standards (IASs) on 1st January, 2005. The Modified Jones model was used to measure earnings management. The binomial test and Pearson correlation test were used to test the hypotheses. It was discovered that JIC practiced earnings management for the period, 2005-2013,by 50%. It was also discovered that earnings management decreased in the 2008-2010 Financial Crisis that occurred, in JIC. Overall, the results suggest that the improvements to the IASs did not prevent earnings management in these corporations.

الملخص: The current research aims at examining whether or not the Jordanian Industrial Public Corporations use the target costing technique. For this purpose the researchers distributed around 70 questionnaires, while just 52 questionnaires of them are examined. Each questionnaire encompasses 16 questions, whereas 8 of these questions are addressed to all companies; while the remaining questions are addressed to the companies those are used the target costing system. The results reveal that 35% of companies use the target costing system, whether partly 27% or totally 8% and 65% of companies don’t use this system. The study concludes that the major reasons behind not using the target costing system; are due to the lack of target costing knowledge and the management supporting is not enough in additional to the old habits in calculating value. The study recommends Jordanian companies to use the target costing, as it is deemed as an essential part of the management of total cost.

الملخص: This study aims to investigate the usage of competitor accounting within the field of strategic management accounting (SMA) in the Jordanian manufacturing companies. It also aims to determine the extent to which competitor accounting influences competitive advantage of these companies. A survey on Jordanian manufacturing companies was conducted for data collection. A total of 88 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number 62 were returned. The response rate was about 70.5%. Descriptive statistics showed that Jordanian manufacturing companies have good positions of competitive advantages compared to the competitors. One-sample t-test showed that all of competitors accounting techniques were used by Jordanian manufacturing companies. The results of multiple regressions showed that these techniques contribute significantly and explain a high percentage of variation in the competitive advantages of Jordanian manufacturing companies.

الملخص: This study provides an effort to present strategic costing techniques as a group in the context of SMA literature, where these techniques were primarily studied separately in the past. The study examines the impact of using strategic costing techniques on Jordanian Listed Manufacturing Companies (JLMC) and to examine the impact of these techniques on the performance of these companies. A survey on JLMC was conducted for data collection. A total of 91 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number, only 60 were returned. The response rate was about 65.9%. Descriptive statistics studies showed that JLMC achieved better performance compared to the period before adopting strategic costing techniques. One-sample t-test showed that all of strategic costing techniques were used by JLMC. The results of multiple regressions showed that these techniques contribute significantly and explain a high percentage of variation of JLMCs' performance. Three of explanatory variables were ABC, TC, and COQ have a statistically significant positive effect on JLMC's overall performance, financial performance, and market performance. The rest of explanatory variables which were attribute costing, LCC, and VCC did not have a statistically significant effect on the mentioned categories of performance of JLMC. Regarding the production performance of JLMC, it has been found that all of explanatory variables except attribute costing technique have a statistically significant positive effect on this category of performance. In respect to the limited studies about the relationship between strategic costing techniques as group and firm performance, this study recommends researchers conduct more studies on this subject. The study also recommends JLMC continue adopting all of SMA techniques in the future. الملخص: This study aims to examine the extent of usage of SMA techniques in the Jordanian private industrial companies (JPIC) and to examine the impact of general and financial managers’ characteristics on the adoption of SMA techniques. It also aims to explore the importance of usage the SMA techniques by JPIC in the future. The study is based on a questionnaire survey of JPIC. The study reveals that 12 out of 19 SMA techniques were adopted by JPIC. These techniques are ABC, COQ, VCC, SCM, EMA, benchmarking, BSC, competitor cost assessment, competitor position monitoring, CPA, customer lifetime value and valuation of customer assets. The results also provide interesting findings; whenever JPIC used the SMA technique they placed high importance of usage rate in the future. The SMA techniques that were not used by JPIC had a low importance of usage rate in the future, in exception of integrated PMS which achieved high importance of usage rate and the LCC which achieved a moderate rate. Finally, no impact of general and financial managers' characteristics was found on the adoption of SMA techniques in JPIC.

الملخص: The current study examines the impact of usage of strategic decision making techniques on Jordanian hotels' performance. It is the first study to examine such questions. A survey on four and five star hotels was conducted for data collection. A questionnaire was designed for this purpose and the response rate was about 85.7%. Descriptive statistics showed that Jordanian hotels achieved good performance relative to competitors. Onesample t-test showed that ABC system strategic decision making techniques were used by Jordanian hotels. The results of multiple regressions showed that ABC system and all of strategic decision making techniques, except of AMB technique, have a statistically significant positive effect on Jordanian hotels' performance. In context of cost-benefit approach, this study recommends Jordanian hotels to adopt all of SMA techniques in the future.

الملخص: The recent events in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Pakistan have highlighted the importance of political events to business. Government actions, furthermore, are increasingly pervading all spheres of business activity. Since political events and government actions may affect enterprise performance, there is a need to take them into account in planning and executing strategy. As a response to the increasing impact of political events on business, a new function concerned with the assessment of country risk is gradually emerging in enterprises. Yet, this function is not without its obstacles. This study reports on the obstacles that plague the country risk process in multinational enterprises. In order to achieve this aim, interviews have been conducted with related persons in Jordanian enterprises, who are involved in risk management. It was found that the majority of Jordanian interviewees are unsatisfied with their existing approach for assessing country risk. This research has also offered suggestions for improving practice and offered directions for further research.

الملخص: Purpose: The main goal of this paper is to establish whether there is an influence of firm Size and profitability on corporate Social responsibility disclosures towards employees’ dimension (CSRD) in the Jordanian banks. The analysis was based on contents disclosed in their annual reports. Design/methodology/approach – This paper describes, from a theoretical point-of-view, social responsibility actions, as well as some of profitability indicators. Then, an empirical review is gained of reports published by a representative sample from the banking industry in Jordan. An attempt has been made to verify whether there is some correlation between CSRD contents disclosed, and ROA, ROE, Size. Findings – The paper found solid evidence to reject possible influence for ROA, SIZE variables on (CSRD) adopted by each bank and reporting contents revealed. The study accepts possible relationship with ROE. However, this is a promising research line for future analysis, using a bigger sample and more CSR reporting issues in relation to society, and environmental Communication capacities. Originality/value – This paper opens a new research path in CSRD, Profitability, and Size for a possible link between both variables, a matter that has not been previously explored in Jordanian Public shareholding Commercial Banks.

الملخص: This study is added to the limited empirical studies concerning the practices of customer accounting (CA). The aims of this study were to explore the extent of usage of CA techniques in Jordanian industrial companies (JIC), to investigate the status of customer performance in JIC, to examine the influence of business strategies on the usage of CA, and to examine the influence of CA on customer performance in JIC. In addition, this study aims to determine the relationship between business strategies (cost leadership, differentiation and focus) and customer performance control for CA. A survey on Jordanian industrial companies (JIC) was conducted for data collection. A total of 90 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number 68 were returned. The response rate was about 75.5%. Descriptive statistics showed that the customer performance' indicators in JIC are in a good status and there are good improvements in all categories of customer performance. One-sample t-test showed that CA techniques were used by the JIC. The results of multiple regressions showed that business strategies contribute significantly and show high levels of variation of CA in JIC. Cost leadership strategy and focus strategy had a statistically significant positive effect on CA in JIC. The results of simple regressions showed that that CA contributes significantly and explains a quarter of the variation in customer performance in JIC. It is also found that CA has a statistically significant positive effect on customer performance in JIC. A partial correlation revealed that there were moderate, positive partial correlations between business strategies and customer performance whilst controlling for CA. in addition, ZPC showed that there were statistically significant, moderate, positive correlations between these strategies and customer performance, indicating that CA have an important influence in controlling for the relationship between business strategies and customer performance. The positive signs of the r values are indication that when CA is enhanced, business strategies (cost leadership, differentiation and focus) and customer Performance are also enhanced. This study made an important contribution because it is first of its kind that addresses these relationships. This study suggested that customer performance should be considered as an important part of the future performance measurement and management systems in JIC. In context of cost-benefit approach, this study recommends JIC to continue adopting all of CA techniques in the future.

الملخص: This study investigated the poverty effects of households in the southern region of Jordan, Madaba, Aqaba, Tafila governorates.The poverty ratio in this region exceeds 28.7%, . Data was collected by the use of questionnaire which addressed questions related to the study. A total of 900 questionnaires were given out to all the population. Of these, 180 questionnaires were re-called from each local government. The variables of research – per capita expenditure, per capital income, age of respondent, sex (male or female head count), the age structure of the population shows a significant difference in the household saving rate. Idiosyncratic and covariate factors affect the expected per capita consumption of the overall expected poverty for this area. Not less than 80% expected poverty is synonymous with southern region according to these variables. The highest variance occurred in education head count levels which can be divided into five categories. Male-headed households have lower mean consumption than female-headed households. As the determinants of households of the southern region and structures of variables to link the results and actions, therefore the paper, extends the usual of set of explanatory variables which explained the household behavior and to capture their influential impact on household and life cycle dependency ratio admitted as explanatory due to a young, under-educated populace, which is compounded by a heavy responsibility on male-headed count per female. The paper found that the growth of the agricultural sector is slow which means that most of the southern region depends on returns of this sector beyond the dependence on civilian employement to support their household. These results provides a big support for life cycle hypothesis as well as the permanent income hypothesis.We noticed that poverty is a predominant as phenomenon as it is pervasive, with over 30% of the population falling below the poverty line in Jordan. This paper assesses the impact of poverty in the level of determinants of households.

الملخص: یهدف البحث إلى التعرف على واقع الخدمات التي تقدمها البلدیات في محافظـة معـان، وبیـان الـدور الـذي یمكن أن یؤدیـه القطـاع الخـاص لمسـاعدة البلـدیات علـى تقـدیم الخـدمات التـي یطلبهـا المـواطن، ولتحقیـق أهـداف هـذا البحث، فقد تم استخدام استبانة وزعت على فئات متعددة ضمن الحدود الجغرافیة للبلـدیات، ومـن تحلیلهـا تـم التوصـل في هذا البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها أن المشاكل المالیة لیست السبب الوحید فـي عـدم قـدرة البلدیـة علـى تقـدیم الخدمـة للمواطن، بل أن هناك أسـباباً أخـرى تتضـمن المشـكلة الإداریـة الداخلیـة فـي البلدیـة ومشـكلة رقابـة وزارة البلـدیات علـى أعمـال البلدیـة، ومشـكلة عـدم التنسـیق مـع المـواطن، وتبـین أیضـا أنـه یمكـن للقطـاع الخـاص أن یقـدم خـدمات عدیـدة ومتنوعة للبلدیة، مما یساعد في زیادة وتحسین نوعیة الخـدمات المقدمـة للمـواطنین، وتـم فـي نهایـة هـذا البحـث وضـع العدید من التوصیات والمقترحات.

الملخص: Companies normally seek to formulate the strategy that works as a guide to the achievement of the important indicators of global competition in providing services and products include cost reduction, excellence, innovation, flexibility, quality, contentious improvement and other success factors. Modern managerial accounting techniques come to embody these strategies. This study examines the impact of adopting competitive strategies on the use of modern managerial accounting techniques in Jordanian public industrial companies (hereafter referred to as JPIC). This is one of the first studies to examine such questions. Data were collected via a survey of all 95 JPIC. A questionnaire survey of these firms yielded fifty-two companies. The results of multiple regression showed that: a cost leadership strategy had a significant impact on the use of activitybased costing, business process re-engineering and benchmarking; and a differentiation strategy had a significant impact on the use of the activity-based costing, target costing and activity-based management; and a focus strategy had a significant impact on the use of activity-based management. The study recommended that JPIC should continue to adopt modern managerial accounting techniques and to diversify strategies as much as possible.

الملخص: دفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على مدى تطور بناء هياكل أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية ومعرفة فاعليتها في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة. كما استهدفت أيضاً اختبار أثر عناصر الرقابة الداخلية في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة. وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة بشكل عام، من خلال اختبار test-t للعينة الواحدة، إلى فاعلية وكفاءة أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية، فيما اظهر تحليل الانحدار المتعدد وجود اثر هام لعناصر الرقابة مجتمعة في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة مع وجود بعض الاستثناءات. وقد تضمنت الدراسة عدداً من التوصيات كان أهمها الاهتمام بمراقبة أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية من خلال إجراء التقييمات المستمرة لتلك الأنظمة بما يسهم في زيادة فاعليتها وكفاءتها.

الملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى استخدام تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية المتقدمة من قبل الشركات الصناعية الأردنية والتعرف على مدى تنفيذ هذه الشركات لاستراتيجيات قيادة التكلفة والتميز والتركيز. كما وتهدف الدراسة أيضاً لمعرفة اثر استخدام تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية المتقدمة على الاستراتيجيات المستخدمة. وقد أظهرت اختبارات t-test للعينة الواحدة بأن الشركات الصناعية الأردنية تسعى لبناء المزايا التنافسية من خلال تبني استراتيجيات قيادة التكلفة والتميز والتركيز، وان هذه الشركات تستخدم مختلف تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية التي تناولتها هذه الدراسة. وقد تبين من نتائج استخدام الانحدار المتعدد ما يأتي: وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر نظام (ABC) على مختلف الاستراتيجيات؛ وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر (TQM)، (BPR)، (Bench) على إستراتيجية قيادة التكلفة؛ وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر (TQM)، (Bench.) على إستراتيجية التركيز، فيما لم تظهر أية دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر تقنية (TC) على أي من الاستراتيجيات المنفذة. وقد تضمنت الدراسة عدة توصيات كان أهمها: الاستمرار في استخدام تقنيات (ABC)، (BPR)، (Bench.)، وإعطاء مزيد من الاهتمام في استخدام (TQM)، (TC)، (ABM).

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على اثر النسب المالية على أسعار أسهم الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المسجلة في هيئة الأوراق المالية لعام 2009. وقد أجريت الدراسة لفترتين: ما قبل الأزمة المالية الحالية (31/3/2007 – 31/3/2008)، وخلال الأزمة (30/6/2008 – 30/6/2009)، وقد أشارت اختبارات الانحدار المتعدد إلى تباين النتائج. ففيما لم تختبر العلاقة بين نسب النشاط وأسعار الأسهم لعدم ملائمة النموذج للتحليل لفترتي الدراسة، فقد تبين وجود تأثير لكل من نسب هيكل رأس المال والسوق على أسعار الأسهم للفترتين، بينما لم يظهر ذلك التأثير فيما يتعلق بنسب السيولة ونسب الربحية لنفس الفترتين. ولأغراض التعرف على اتجاهات أسعار الأسهم المستقبلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية من خلال استخدام النسب المالية في الفترتين، فقد تضمنت الدراسة عدة توصيات كان أهمها: عدم الاعتماد على كل من نسب السيولة والنشاط والربحية لتحقيق هذه الأغراض في الفترتين، استخدام نسب هيكل رأس المال في للفترتين، واستخدام نسب السوق في الفترات العادية واستخدامها بحذر شديد في فترات الأزمات

الملخص: لقد استهدفت هذه الدراسة معرفة ما إذا كانت الفنادق الاردنية ذات فئات الاربع والخمس نجوم تتبنى كل من نظام تكاليف الانشطة ABC وتقنيات القرار الاستراتيجي ضمن مفهوم المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية SMA، والتي تتمثل في تقنيات ادارة الأنشطة ABM، ادارة الكلفة الاستراتيجية SCM، التسعير الاستراتيجي Strategic Pricing، وتقيييم العلامة التجارية Brand Valuation. كما استهدفت ايضا اختبار العلاقة بين تطبيق نظام ABC وتلك التقنيات. وقد أظهرت اختبارات t-test للعينة الواحدة بأن الفنادق الأردنية تستخدم كل من نظام تكاليف الانشطة ABC وتقنيات صنع القرار الاستراتيجي ضمن مفهوم SMA. كما اظهر اختبار الارتباط وجود علاقة ارتباط ايجابية قوية بين تطبيق نظام ABC وكلا تقنيتي SCM التسعير الاستراتيجي، فيما كان هناك ارتباط ايجابية متوسطة القوة بين تطبيق نظام ABC وكلا تقنيتي ABM وتقيييم العلامة التجارية. وقد اوصت الدراسة الفنادق الاردنية بالاستمرار في تطبيق تقنيات صنع القرار الاستراتيجي ومنح المزيد من الاهتمام بتحليلات الانشطة بما يدعم تنفيذ بقية تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية المتعلقة بصنع القرار الاستراتيجي، كما اوصت ايضا بالبحث عن تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية في المجالات الاخرى ومحاولة تطبيقها في اطار ملائمتها للعمليات الفندقية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على مدى تبني تقنية المحاسبة الإدارية البيئية (EMA) من قبل الشركات الصناعية الأردنية، ومعرفة فيما إذا كانت هذه الشركات تقوم بالمحاسبة عن التكاليف البيئية لأغراض الاستخدام الداخلي. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة شملت ثلاثون سؤالا وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها 44 استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي 41 استبانة بما نسبته (60.3%) من مجتمع الدراسة (68 شركة). ولاختبار الفرضيات في الدراسة استخدم اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الشركات الصناعية الأردنية تقوم بتبني تقنية EMA، كما أنها تقوم بعمليات المحاسبة عن ثلاثة من تصنيفات التكاليف البيئية واستخدامها للأغراض الداخلية وهي تكاليف معالجة النفايات والإشعاعات، وتكاليف الوقاية والإدارة البيئية، والمحاسبة عن قيمة المواد المشتراة، فيما تبين أن تلك الشركات لا تقوم بالمحاسبة عن تكاليف التشغيل المتنوعة لأغراض الاستخدام الداخلي. وقد أوصت الدراسة بتوّجه الشركات نحو مزيدا من تتبع وحصر بعض التكاليف البيئية لأهمية ذلك على صعيد المنظمة.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز أهمية تطبيق محاسبة المسؤولية وتعرف مدى تطبيقها في الفنادق الأردنية . ولتطبيق هذه الدراسة تم إعداد استبانة، حيث تم توزيعها على عينة الدراسة التي اشتملت على الفنادق من فئة ال خمس نجوم والأربع الموجودة في مدينة عمان . ولقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الفنادق الأردنية تقوم بتحديد واضح لمراكز المسؤولية، وأنه يتم إعداد موازنات تخطيطية تربط الأداء المخطط بالفعلي، وأنها تقوم بمقارنة الأداء الفعلي بالأداء المخطط لغرض تقويم الأداء ووجود نظام تقارير متكامل لمت ابعة الأداء وتقويمه في مراكز المسؤولية، ووجود نظام حوافز فاعل يسهم في تعزيز نظام محاسبة المسؤولية في الفنادق الأردنية . وقد انتهت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات أهمها : زيادة التنسيق بين المقارنات بين أرقام الأداء الفعلي وأرقام الأداء المخطط من أجل تقويم الأداء، وإبراز أهمية إعداد التقارير وصياغتها، والعمل على المحافظة على مراكز المسؤولية، والعمل على توضيح العلاقات فيما بينها، والعمل على تفعيل ال موازنات التخطيطية وخصوصاً في مجال الرقابة، وضرورة إجراء وجود نظام حوافز فاعل، والعمل على تطوير المهارات الإدارية والمحاسبية للعاملين وتنميتها، ورفع مستواهم من خلال عقد الدورات التدريبية، وأن يتم توظيف أصحاب الكفاءات ذوي التأهيل العلمي والخبرات الفنية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على فاعلية أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها (48) استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي (42) استبانة بما نسبته (62.7%) من مجتمع الدراسة (67 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في الدراسة اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون. وقد أظهرت الدراسة بشكل عام وجود فاعلية لأنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. كما وجدت الدراسة ايضا بعض نواحي الضعف في المجالات التالية: قدرة الأنظمة المحاسبية والرقابية في المساعدة على الوصول للمستويات التشغيلية المخططة واستخدام الموارد وإدارة الأصول بما ينعكس على ربحية وأداء الشركة، وجود فرص ضائعة نتيجة نقص المعلومات المالية وغير المالية وكذلك وجود حالات من الإرباك أو التأخير في انجاز الأعمال الإدارية والتشغيلية عن وقتها، ضعف المتابعة والمراقبة المستمرتين للأعمال الرقابية من قبل الإدارة ولجان الرقابة الداخلية.

الملخص: استهدف هذه الدراسة معرفة مدى تبني الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC) والتعرف على الأثر الذي يمكن أن يحدثه هذا النظام في عمليات الرقابة على التكاليف غير المباشرة في تلك الشركات. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة من عشرين سؤالا وزعت على 64 شركة صناعية من الشركات المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2011، وقد استرد منها 39 استبانة خضعت للتحليل الإحصائي وبما نسبته 55.71% من مجتمع الدراسة (70 شركة). وقد أظهر نتائج اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة أن الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية تتبنى نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC) وان هذه الشركات قد زادت رقابتها على التكاليف غير المباشرة في السنوات الخمس الماضية، وأنها قد حققت ايضا عمليات خفض للتكاليف غير المباشرة في تلك الفترة. كما أظهرت نتائج اختبار الانحدار المتعدد Multiple regression أن نظام (ABC) قد ساهم في تحقيق الرقابة على التكاليف غير المباشرة وتخفيضها في الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بان تستمر الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية في تبني نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC)، والتوجه نحو تبنيه من قبل الشركات التي لم تتبناه بعد.

الملخص: هدف هذا البحث للتعرف على جودة هياكل الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية ومدى انسجامها مع هيكل الرقابة وفقا لإطار لجنة رعاية المؤسسات (COSO). ولتحقيق أهداف هذا البحث طوّرت استبانة شملت اثنتين وثلاثين فقرة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها 48 استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي 42 استبانة بما نسبته 62.7% من مجتمع البحث (67 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في البحث اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة وتحليل التباين الأحادي One-Way ANOVA. وقد أظهر البحث وجود هياكل رقابة داخلية جيدة في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. كما وجد ايضا بعض نواحي الضعف في المجالات التالية: كفاية الأفراد، وجود أنظمة لوصف الأعمال وبيان المسؤوليات، إنتاج معلومات لانجاز الوظائف التخطيطية والرقابية، قدرة أنظمة المعلومات على توفير المعلومات، وتوفير تقارير أداء إدارية، التقييم المستمر لإجراءات الرقابة.

الملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر محتوى المناهج المحاسبية في بناء المعارف والمهارات المهنية من وجهة نظر الطلبة المتوقع تخرجهم في قسم المحاسبة في مرحلة البكالوريوس ، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة وإختبار فرضياتها، تم تصميم استبانة تألفت من (45) بندا وزعت على العينة النهائية والمعتمدة لأغراض البحث والتحليل وتكونت من (62) طالبا ، وذلك لأخذ آرائهم حول تطوير التعليم المحاسبي ليصبح أكثر فاعلية تجاه المعارف والمهارات المهنية ، ولتحليل البيانات وإختبار الفرضيات تم استخدام التكرارات ، والنسب المئوية ، والإنحراف المعياري ، والمتوسط الحسابي ، واختبار (T) لعينة واحدة ، وتحليل التباين الأحادي (ANOVA) . توصلت الدراسة إلى أنه يوجد تأثير لمحتويات كل من المساق ، والتدريب الميداني ، وعضو هيئة التدريس على بناء المعارف والمهارات المهنية وبنسبة (64.4%) ، (76.6%) ، (74.2%) على التوالي ، وقد اختتمت الدراسة ببعض التوصيات لتطوير المنهاج لمواكبة العولمة والتقدم التكنولوجي.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء تطور ممارسات المحاسبة الادارية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية اعتمادا على بيان (IFAC (IMAPS 1), 1998)، وقد كان الاستقصاء حول خمسة ابعاد في المحاسبة الادارية تضمنت انظمة التكاليف والموازنات وتقييم الاداء والمعلومات لاتخاذ القرار والتحليل الاستراتيجي. ولقد تم تصميم استبانة وتوزيعها على 95 شركة صناعية في الاردن استرد منها 87 استبانة. استخدم في هذه الدراسة تحليلات الاحصاء الوصفي والتحليل المتقدم. وقد اشارت النتائج الى استخدام واهمية استخدام منخفضة لاغلب تلك التقنيات سواء التقليدية او المتقدمة، كما اظهرت ان الشركات الصناعية الاردنية اتجهت نحو استخدام تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية المتقدمة للمرحلة الثالثة الا انها بطيئة فيما يتعلق بالمرحلة الرابعة الاكثر تطورا. وقد اوصت الدراسة الشركات الصناعية الاردنية التوجه نحو تبني تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية التي تساهم في خلق القيمة من خلال استخدام الموارد بفاعلية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة فيما إذا كانت الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية تستخدم تحليلات النشاط ونظامي تكاليف وإدارة الأنشطة، وكذلك بيان اثر تطبيق تحليلات النشاط ونظام ABC في تبني نظام ABM. كما استهدفت الدراسة ايضا بيان مجالات ومستويات الاستفادة من هذه التطبيقات. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة طوّرت استبانة تضمنت خمساً وأربعين فقرة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية المدرجة في النشرة السنوية لبورصة عمان لعام 2012، وقد خضع للتحليل الإحصائي 54 استبانة بما نسبته 77.14% من مجتمع البحث (70 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في البحث اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد. وقد أظهر الدراسة أن الشركات الصناعية المساهمة العامة الأردنية تقوم بممارسة تحليل الأنشطة وتطبيق نظام ABC، وقد كان لهذه الممارسة اثر في تبني تلك الشركات لنظام إدارة الأنشطة ABM. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن تلك الشركات تستخدم - بنسب متفاوتة- نظامي ABC و ABM في المجالات الإدارية المختلفة. وقد أوصت الدراسة بالاستمرار في تطبيق هذه الأنظمة والتوسع في استخدامها وبشكل خاص في مجالات التخطيط الاستراتيجي وتحليل ربحية المنتجات والمستهلكين.

الملخص: This study has two main objectives. The first one is to address the relationship between Economic Value Added (EVA) and Created Shareholders Value (CSV) in Jordanian public industrial firms (JPIF), comparing to the Return on Assets (ROA) over the period 2011-2015. The second objective is to address the possible superiority of EVA to ROA by explaining the changes in CSV for JPIF. In this study, CSV is measured using two models; Fernandez model and market value added model. Multiple and simple regressions were used in the study. These analyses have shown, generally, that the superiority of EVA in predicting and evaluating the CSV could be put into a conclusive and positive light compared to ROA. However, the results suggested that one financial measure cannot be enough to measure neither CSV nor firms‟ performance. Therefore, this study highly recommends that JPIF use a combination of different measure in assessing and evaluating their value and performance, especially modern indicators.

الملخص: This paper aims at exploring how the mechanisms of corporate governance (audit committee size, CEO duality, board size, female board members and board composition) affect the firm performance. Based on data from 66 out of 69 firms, which represents (95.6%) of Jordanian publicly quoted manufacturing firms covering a five-year period (2008–2012), the use of multiple regression analysis was done for assessing how each of the mechanisms of corporate governance relates to firm performance. The empirical findings of this study suggest that size of firm and Tobin's Q and ROA shows a significant positive correlation, while leverage and ROA show significant correlations. Results indicate that CEO duality and size of board have negative correlation with ROA, while non-executive directors' proportion shows a positive correlation with ROA. No relationship was recognized between the female board members' proportion and audit committee size and ROA. Conversely, the variables of corporate governance do not show a relation with measure of market performance, which supports the argument that market-based performance measures are impartial when economic circumstances are normal in context of emerging markets. The paper provides insight into better understanding how the various mechanisms of corporate governance are related to the performance of firm given the scenario of a small emerging market of non-oil-producing country

الملخص: The purpose of this study is to investigate corporate governance’s quality for Shareholding Companies Listed on the Amman Stock Exchange; to see how corporate governance index (CGI) and firm performance and firm value are associated; and last but not the least is to check how CGI affects firm performance and firm value. A comprehensive CGI containing 112 points was constructed and analyzed for years 2010 and 2015. It reported that the Jordanian industrial and service companies have a good CGI during these two years. Pearson correlation has showed positive but weak relationships between CGI and all variables in the two years. Multiple regression analysis was performed to evaluate corporate governance index effects on the performance and the value of firm. The results did not support the hypotheses that CGI significantly affects these two variables. To reach to better corporate governance in Jordanian industrial and service companies, the Jordanian authorities might need to modify the inconsistence between laws and corporate governance rules.

الملخص: This study investigates the practices of earnings management in Jordanian Industrial Corporations (JIC) after the mandatory adoption of the Improvements of the International Accounting Standards (IASs) on 1st January, 2005. The Modified Jones model was used to measure earnings management. The binomial test and Pearson correlation test were used to test the hypotheses. It was discovered that JIC practiced earnings management for the period, 2005-2013,by 50%. It was also discovered that earnings management decreased in the 2008-2010 Financial Crisis that occurred, in JIC. Overall, the results suggest that the improvements to the IASs did not prevent earnings management in these corporations.

الملخص: The current research aims at examining whether or not the Jordanian Industrial Public Corporations use the target costing technique. For this purpose the researchers distributed around 70 questionnaires, while just 52 questionnaires of them are examined. Each questionnaire encompasses 16 questions, whereas 8 of these questions are addressed to all companies; while the remaining questions are addressed to the companies those are used the target costing system. The results reveal that 35% of companies use the target costing system, whether partly 27% or totally 8% and 65% of companies don’t use this system. The study concludes that the major reasons behind not using the target costing system; are due to the lack of target costing knowledge and the management supporting is not enough in additional to the old habits in calculating value. The study recommends Jordanian companies to use the target costing, as it is deemed as an essential part of the management of total cost.

الملخص: This study aims to investigate the usage of competitor accounting within the field of strategic management accounting (SMA) in the Jordanian manufacturing companies. It also aims to determine the extent to which competitor accounting influences competitive advantage of these companies. A survey on Jordanian manufacturing companies was conducted for data collection. A total of 88 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number 62 were returned. The response rate was about 70.5%. Descriptive statistics showed that Jordanian manufacturing companies have good positions of competitive advantages compared to the competitors. One-sample t-test showed that all of competitors accounting techniques were used by Jordanian manufacturing companies. The results of multiple regressions showed that these techniques contribute significantly and explain a high percentage of variation in the competitive advantages of Jordanian manufacturing companies.

الملخص: This study provides an effort to present strategic costing techniques as a group in the context of SMA literature, where these techniques were primarily studied separately in the past. The study examines the impact of using strategic costing techniques on Jordanian Listed Manufacturing Companies (JLMC) and to examine the impact of these techniques on the performance of these companies. A survey on JLMC was conducted for data collection. A total of 91 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number, only 60 were returned. The response rate was about 65.9%. Descriptive statistics studies showed that JLMC achieved better performance compared to the period before adopting strategic costing techniques. One-sample t-test showed that all of strategic costing techniques were used by JLMC. The results of multiple regressions showed that these techniques contribute significantly and explain a high percentage of variation of JLMCs' performance. Three of explanatory variables were ABC, TC, and COQ have a statistically significant positive effect on JLMC's overall performance, financial performance, and market performance. The rest of explanatory variables which were attribute costing, LCC, and VCC did not have a statistically significant effect on the mentioned categories of performance of JLMC. Regarding the production performance of JLMC, it has been found that all of explanatory variables except attribute costing technique have a statistically significant positive effect on this category of performance. In respect to the limited studies about the relationship between strategic costing techniques as group and firm performance, this study recommends researchers conduct more studies on this subject. The study also recommends JLMC continue adopting all of SMA techniques in the future. الملخص: This study aims to examine the extent of usage of SMA techniques in the Jordanian private industrial companies (JPIC) and to examine the impact of general and financial managers’ characteristics on the adoption of SMA techniques. It also aims to explore the importance of usage the SMA techniques by JPIC in the future. The study is based on a questionnaire survey of JPIC. The study reveals that 12 out of 19 SMA techniques were adopted by JPIC. These techniques are ABC, COQ, VCC, SCM, EMA, benchmarking, BSC, competitor cost assessment, competitor position monitoring, CPA, customer lifetime value and valuation of customer assets. The results also provide interesting findings; whenever JPIC used the SMA technique they placed high importance of usage rate in the future. The SMA techniques that were not used by JPIC had a low importance of usage rate in the future, in exception of integrated PMS which achieved high importance of usage rate and the LCC which achieved a moderate rate. Finally, no impact of general and financial managers' characteristics was found on the adoption of SMA techniques in JPIC.

الملخص: The current study examines the impact of usage of strategic decision making techniques on Jordanian hotels' performance. It is the first study to examine such questions. A survey on four and five star hotels was conducted for data collection. A questionnaire was designed for this purpose and the response rate was about 85.7%. Descriptive statistics showed that Jordanian hotels achieved good performance relative to competitors. Onesample t-test showed that ABC system strategic decision making techniques were used by Jordanian hotels. The results of multiple regressions showed that ABC system and all of strategic decision making techniques, except of AMB technique, have a statistically significant positive effect on Jordanian hotels' performance. In context of cost-benefit approach, this study recommends Jordanian hotels to adopt all of SMA techniques in the future.

الملخص: The recent events in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Pakistan have highlighted the importance of political events to business. Government actions, furthermore, are increasingly pervading all spheres of business activity. Since political events and government actions may affect enterprise performance, there is a need to take them into account in planning and executing strategy. As a response to the increasing impact of political events on business, a new function concerned with the assessment of country risk is gradually emerging in enterprises. Yet, this function is not without its obstacles. This study reports on the obstacles that plague the country risk process in multinational enterprises. In order to achieve this aim, interviews have been conducted with related persons in Jordanian enterprises, who are involved in risk management. It was found that the majority of Jordanian interviewees are unsatisfied with their existing approach for assessing country risk. This research has also offered suggestions for improving practice and offered directions for further research.

الملخص: Purpose: The main goal of this paper is to establish whether there is an influence of firm Size and profitability on corporate Social responsibility disclosures towards employees’ dimension (CSRD) in the Jordanian banks. The analysis was based on contents disclosed in their annual reports. Design/methodology/approach – This paper describes, from a theoretical point-of-view, social responsibility actions, as well as some of profitability indicators. Then, an empirical review is gained of reports published by a representative sample from the banking industry in Jordan. An attempt has been made to verify whether there is some correlation between CSRD contents disclosed, and ROA, ROE, Size. Findings – The paper found solid evidence to reject possible influence for ROA, SIZE variables on (CSRD) adopted by each bank and reporting contents revealed. The study accepts possible relationship with ROE. However, this is a promising research line for future analysis, using a bigger sample and more CSR reporting issues in relation to society, and environmental Communication capacities. Originality/value – This paper opens a new research path in CSRD, Profitability, and Size for a possible link between both variables, a matter that has not been previously explored in Jordanian Public shareholding Commercial Banks.

الملخص: This study is added to the limited empirical studies concerning the practices of customer accounting (CA). The aims of this study were to explore the extent of usage of CA techniques in Jordanian industrial companies (JIC), to investigate the status of customer performance in JIC, to examine the influence of business strategies on the usage of CA, and to examine the influence of CA on customer performance in JIC. In addition, this study aims to determine the relationship between business strategies (cost leadership, differentiation and focus) and customer performance control for CA. A survey on Jordanian industrial companies (JIC) was conducted for data collection. A total of 90 questionnaires were distributed to these companies. Out of this number 68 were returned. The response rate was about 75.5%. Descriptive statistics showed that the customer performance' indicators in JIC are in a good status and there are good improvements in all categories of customer performance. One-sample t-test showed that CA techniques were used by the JIC. The results of multiple regressions showed that business strategies contribute significantly and show high levels of variation of CA in JIC. Cost leadership strategy and focus strategy had a statistically significant positive effect on CA in JIC. The results of simple regressions showed that that CA contributes significantly and explains a quarter of the variation in customer performance in JIC. It is also found that CA has a statistically significant positive effect on customer performance in JIC. A partial correlation revealed that there were moderate, positive partial correlations between business strategies and customer performance whilst controlling for CA. in addition, ZPC showed that there were statistically significant, moderate, positive correlations between these strategies and customer performance, indicating that CA have an important influence in controlling for the relationship between business strategies and customer performance. The positive signs of the r values are indication that when CA is enhanced, business strategies (cost leadership, differentiation and focus) and customer Performance are also enhanced. This study made an important contribution because it is first of its kind that addresses these relationships. This study suggested that customer performance should be considered as an important part of the future performance measurement and management systems in JIC. In context of cost-benefit approach, this study recommends JIC to continue adopting all of CA techniques in the future.

الملخص: This study investigated the poverty effects of households in the southern region of Jordan, Madaba, Aqaba, Tafila governorates.The poverty ratio in this region exceeds 28.7%, . Data was collected by the use of questionnaire which addressed questions related to the study. A total of 900 questionnaires were given out to all the population. Of these, 180 questionnaires were re-called from each local government. The variables of research – per capita expenditure, per capital income, age of respondent, sex (male or female head count), the age structure of the population shows a significant difference in the household saving rate. Idiosyncratic and covariate factors affect the expected per capita consumption of the overall expected poverty for this area. Not less than 80% expected poverty is synonymous with southern region according to these variables. The highest variance occurred in education head count levels which can be divided into five categories. Male-headed households have lower mean consumption than female-headed households. As the determinants of households of the southern region and structures of variables to link the results and actions, therefore the paper, extends the usual of set of explanatory variables which explained the household behavior and to capture their influential impact on household and life cycle dependency ratio admitted as explanatory due to a young, under-educated populace, which is compounded by a heavy responsibility on male-headed count per female. The paper found that the growth of the agricultural sector is slow which means that most of the southern region depends on returns of this sector beyond the dependence on civilian employement to support their household. These results provides a big support for life cycle hypothesis as well as the permanent income hypothesis.We noticed that poverty is a predominant as phenomenon as it is pervasive, with over 30% of the population falling below the poverty line in Jordan. This paper assesses the impact of poverty in the level of determinants of households.

الملخص: یهدف البحث إلى التعرف على واقع الخدمات التي تقدمها البلدیات في محافظـة معـان، وبیـان الـدور الـذي یمكن أن یؤدیـه القطـاع الخـاص لمسـاعدة البلـدیات علـى تقـدیم الخـدمات التـي یطلبهـا المـواطن، ولتحقیـق أهـداف هـذا البحث، فقد تم استخدام استبانة وزعت على فئات متعددة ضمن الحدود الجغرافیة للبلـدیات، ومـن تحلیلهـا تـم التوصـل في هذا البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها أن المشاكل المالیة لیست السبب الوحید فـي عـدم قـدرة البلدیـة علـى تقـدیم الخدمـة للمواطن، بل أن هناك أسـباباً أخـرى تتضـمن المشـكلة الإداریـة الداخلیـة فـي البلدیـة ومشـكلة رقابـة وزارة البلـدیات علـى أعمـال البلدیـة، ومشـكلة عـدم التنسـیق مـع المـواطن، وتبـین أیضـا أنـه یمكـن للقطـاع الخـاص أن یقـدم خـدمات عدیـدة ومتنوعة للبلدیة، مما یساعد في زیادة وتحسین نوعیة الخـدمات المقدمـة للمـواطنین، وتـم فـي نهایـة هـذا البحـث وضـع العدید من التوصیات والمقترحات.

الملخص: Companies normally seek to formulate the strategy that works as a guide to the achievement of the important indicators of global competition in providing services and products include cost reduction, excellence, innovation, flexibility, quality, contentious improvement and other success factors. Modern managerial accounting techniques come to embody these strategies. This study examines the impact of adopting competitive strategies on the use of modern managerial accounting techniques in Jordanian public industrial companies (hereafter referred to as JPIC). This is one of the first studies to examine such questions. Data were collected via a survey of all 95 JPIC. A questionnaire survey of these firms yielded fifty-two companies. The results of multiple regression showed that: a cost leadership strategy had a significant impact on the use of activitybased costing, business process re-engineering and benchmarking; and a differentiation strategy had a significant impact on the use of the activity-based costing, target costing and activity-based management; and a focus strategy had a significant impact on the use of activity-based management. The study recommended that JPIC should continue to adopt modern managerial accounting techniques and to diversify strategies as much as possible.

الملخص: دفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على مدى تطور بناء هياكل أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية ومعرفة فاعليتها في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة. كما استهدفت أيضاً اختبار أثر عناصر الرقابة الداخلية في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة. وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة بشكل عام، من خلال اختبار test-t للعينة الواحدة، إلى فاعلية وكفاءة أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية، فيما اظهر تحليل الانحدار المتعدد وجود اثر هام لعناصر الرقابة مجتمعة في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة مع وجود بعض الاستثناءات. وقد تضمنت الدراسة عدداً من التوصيات كان أهمها الاهتمام بمراقبة أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية من خلال إجراء التقييمات المستمرة لتلك الأنظمة بما يسهم في زيادة فاعليتها وكفاءتها.

الملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى استخدام تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية المتقدمة من قبل الشركات الصناعية الأردنية والتعرف على مدى تنفيذ هذه الشركات لاستراتيجيات قيادة التكلفة والتميز والتركيز. كما وتهدف الدراسة أيضاً لمعرفة اثر استخدام تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية المتقدمة على الاستراتيجيات المستخدمة. وقد أظهرت اختبارات t-test للعينة الواحدة بأن الشركات الصناعية الأردنية تسعى لبناء المزايا التنافسية من خلال تبني استراتيجيات قيادة التكلفة والتميز والتركيز، وان هذه الشركات تستخدم مختلف تقنيات التكاليف والمحاسبة الإدارية التي تناولتها هذه الدراسة. وقد تبين من نتائج استخدام الانحدار المتعدد ما يأتي: وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر نظام (ABC) على مختلف الاستراتيجيات؛ وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر (TQM)، (BPR)، (Bench) على إستراتيجية قيادة التكلفة؛ وجود دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر (TQM)، (Bench.) على إستراتيجية التركيز، فيما لم تظهر أية دلالة إحصائية هامة لأثر تقنية (TC) على أي من الاستراتيجيات المنفذة. وقد تضمنت الدراسة عدة توصيات كان أهمها: الاستمرار في استخدام تقنيات (ABC)، (BPR)، (Bench.)، وإعطاء مزيد من الاهتمام في استخدام (TQM)، (TC)، (ABM).

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على اثر النسب المالية على أسعار أسهم الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المسجلة في هيئة الأوراق المالية لعام 2009. وقد أجريت الدراسة لفترتين: ما قبل الأزمة المالية الحالية (31/3/2007 – 31/3/2008)، وخلال الأزمة (30/6/2008 – 30/6/2009)، وقد أشارت اختبارات الانحدار المتعدد إلى تباين النتائج. ففيما لم تختبر العلاقة بين نسب النشاط وأسعار الأسهم لعدم ملائمة النموذج للتحليل لفترتي الدراسة، فقد تبين وجود تأثير لكل من نسب هيكل رأس المال والسوق على أسعار الأسهم للفترتين، بينما لم يظهر ذلك التأثير فيما يتعلق بنسب السيولة ونسب الربحية لنفس الفترتين. ولأغراض التعرف على اتجاهات أسعار الأسهم المستقبلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية من خلال استخدام النسب المالية في الفترتين، فقد تضمنت الدراسة عدة توصيات كان أهمها: عدم الاعتماد على كل من نسب السيولة والنشاط والربحية لتحقيق هذه الأغراض في الفترتين، استخدام نسب هيكل رأس المال في للفترتين، واستخدام نسب السوق في الفترات العادية واستخدامها بحذر شديد في فترات الأزمات

الملخص: لقد استهدفت هذه الدراسة معرفة ما إذا كانت الفنادق الاردنية ذات فئات الاربع والخمس نجوم تتبنى كل من نظام تكاليف الانشطة ABC وتقنيات القرار الاستراتيجي ضمن مفهوم المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية SMA، والتي تتمثل في تقنيات ادارة الأنشطة ABM، ادارة الكلفة الاستراتيجية SCM، التسعير الاستراتيجي Strategic Pricing، وتقيييم العلامة التجارية Brand Valuation. كما استهدفت ايضا اختبار العلاقة بين تطبيق نظام ABC وتلك التقنيات. وقد أظهرت اختبارات t-test للعينة الواحدة بأن الفنادق الأردنية تستخدم كل من نظام تكاليف الانشطة ABC وتقنيات صنع القرار الاستراتيجي ضمن مفهوم SMA. كما اظهر اختبار الارتباط وجود علاقة ارتباط ايجابية قوية بين تطبيق نظام ABC وكلا تقنيتي SCM التسعير الاستراتيجي، فيما كان هناك ارتباط ايجابية متوسطة القوة بين تطبيق نظام ABC وكلا تقنيتي ABM وتقيييم العلامة التجارية. وقد اوصت الدراسة الفنادق الاردنية بالاستمرار في تطبيق تقنيات صنع القرار الاستراتيجي ومنح المزيد من الاهتمام بتحليلات الانشطة بما يدعم تنفيذ بقية تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية المتعلقة بصنع القرار الاستراتيجي، كما اوصت ايضا بالبحث عن تقنيات المحاسبة الادارية الاستراتيجية في المجالات الاخرى ومحاولة تطبيقها في اطار ملائمتها للعمليات الفندقية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على مدى تبني تقنية المحاسبة الإدارية البيئية (EMA) من قبل الشركات الصناعية الأردنية، ومعرفة فيما إذا كانت هذه الشركات تقوم بالمحاسبة عن التكاليف البيئية لأغراض الاستخدام الداخلي. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة شملت ثلاثون سؤالا وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها 44 استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي 41 استبانة بما نسبته (60.3%) من مجتمع الدراسة (68 شركة). ولاختبار الفرضيات في الدراسة استخدم اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الشركات الصناعية الأردنية تقوم بتبني تقنية EMA، كما أنها تقوم بعمليات المحاسبة عن ثلاثة من تصنيفات التكاليف البيئية واستخدامها للأغراض الداخلية وهي تكاليف معالجة النفايات والإشعاعات، وتكاليف الوقاية والإدارة البيئية، والمحاسبة عن قيمة المواد المشتراة، فيما تبين أن تلك الشركات لا تقوم بالمحاسبة عن تكاليف التشغيل المتنوعة لأغراض الاستخدام الداخلي. وقد أوصت الدراسة بتوّجه الشركات نحو مزيدا من تتبع وحصر بعض التكاليف البيئية لأهمية ذلك على صعيد المنظمة.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز أهمية تطبيق محاسبة المسؤولية وتعرف مدى تطبيقها في الفنادق الأردنية . ولتطبيق هذه الدراسة تم إعداد استبانة، حيث تم توزيعها على عينة الدراسة التي اشتملت على الفنادق من فئة ال خمس نجوم والأربع الموجودة في مدينة عمان . ولقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الفنادق الأردنية تقوم بتحديد واضح لمراكز المسؤولية، وأنه يتم إعداد موازنات تخطيطية تربط الأداء المخطط بالفعلي، وأنها تقوم بمقارنة الأداء الفعلي بالأداء المخطط لغرض تقويم الأداء ووجود نظام تقارير متكامل لمت ابعة الأداء وتقويمه في مراكز المسؤولية، ووجود نظام حوافز فاعل يسهم في تعزيز نظام محاسبة المسؤولية في الفنادق الأردنية . وقد انتهت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات أهمها : زيادة التنسيق بين المقارنات بين أرقام الأداء الفعلي وأرقام الأداء المخطط من أجل تقويم الأداء، وإبراز أهمية إعداد التقارير وصياغتها، والعمل على المحافظة على مراكز المسؤولية، والعمل على توضيح العلاقات فيما بينها، والعمل على تفعيل ال موازنات التخطيطية وخصوصاً في مجال الرقابة، وضرورة إجراء وجود نظام حوافز فاعل، والعمل على تطوير المهارات الإدارية والمحاسبية للعاملين وتنميتها، ورفع مستواهم من خلال عقد الدورات التدريبية، وأن يتم توظيف أصحاب الكفاءات ذوي التأهيل العلمي والخبرات الفنية.

الملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة للتعرف على فاعلية أنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في تحقيق أهداف الرقابة في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها (48) استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي (42) استبانة بما نسبته (62.7%) من مجتمع الدراسة (67 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في الدراسة اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون. وقد أظهرت الدراسة بشكل عام وجود فاعلية لأنظمة الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. كما وجدت الدراسة ايضا بعض نواحي الضعف في المجالات التالية: قدرة الأنظمة المحاسبية والرقابية في المساعدة على الوصول للمستويات التشغيلية المخططة واستخدام الموارد وإدارة الأصول بما ينعكس على ربحية وأداء الشركة، وجود فرص ضائعة نتيجة نقص المعلومات المالية وغير المالية وكذلك وجود حالات من الإرباك أو التأخير في انجاز الأعمال الإدارية والتشغيلية عن وقتها، ضعف المتابعة والمراقبة المستمرتين للأعمال الرقابية من قبل الإدارة ولجان الرقابة الداخلية.

الملخص: استهدف هذه الدراسة معرفة مدى تبني الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC) والتعرف على الأثر الذي يمكن أن يحدثه هذا النظام في عمليات الرقابة على التكاليف غير المباشرة في تلك الشركات. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة طوّرت استبانة من عشرين سؤالا وزعت على 64 شركة صناعية من الشركات المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2011، وقد استرد منها 39 استبانة خضعت للتحليل الإحصائي وبما نسبته 55.71% من مجتمع الدراسة (70 شركة). وقد أظهر نتائج اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة أن الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية تتبنى نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC) وان هذه الشركات قد زادت رقابتها على التكاليف غير المباشرة في السنوات الخمس الماضية، وأنها قد حققت ايضا عمليات خفض للتكاليف غير المباشرة في تلك الفترة. كما أظهرت نتائج اختبار الانحدار المتعدد Multiple regression أن نظام (ABC) قد ساهم في تحقيق الرقابة على التكاليف غير المباشرة وتخفيضها في الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بان تستمر الشركات الصناعية المساهمة الأردنية في تبني نظام تكاليف الأنشطة (ABC)، والتوجه نحو تبنيه من قبل الشركات التي لم تتبناه بعد.

الملخص: هدف هذا البحث للتعرف على جودة هياكل الرقابة الداخلية في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية ومدى انسجامها مع هيكل الرقابة وفقا لإطار لجنة رعاية المؤسسات (COSO). ولتحقيق أهداف هذا البحث طوّرت استبانة شملت اثنتين وثلاثين فقرة وزعت على الشركات الصناعية الأردنية المدرجة في بورصة عمان لعام 2007، وقد استرد منها 48 استبانة خضع منه للتحليل الإحصائي 42 استبانة بما نسبته 62.7% من مجتمع البحث (67 شركة). ولاستخلاص النتائج، ولاختبار الفروض استخدم في البحث اختبار t-test للعينة الواحدة وتحليل التباين الأحادي One-Way ANOVA. وقد أظهر البحث وجود هياكل رقابة داخلية جيدة في الشركات الصناعية الأردنية. كما وجد ايضا بعض نواحي الضعف في المجالات التالية: كفاية الأفراد، وجود أنظمة لوصف الأعمال وبيان المسؤوليات، إنتاج معلومات لانجاز الوظائف التخطيطية والرقابية، قدرة أنظمة المعلومات على توفير المعلومات، وتوفير تقارير أداء إدارية، التقييم المستمر لإجراءات الرقابة.

الملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر محتوى المناهج المحاسبية في بناء المعارف والمهارات المهنية من وجهة نظر الطلبة المتوقع تخرجهم في قسم المحاسبة في مرحلة البكالوريوس ، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة وإختبار فرضياتها، تم تصميم استبانة تألفت من (45) بندا وزعت على العينة النهائية والمعتمدة لأغراض البحث والتحليل وتكونت من (62) طالبا ، وذلك لأخذ آرائهم حول تطوير التعليم المحاسبي ليصبح أكثر فاعلية تجاه المعارف والمهارات المهنية ، ولتحليل البيانات وإختبار الفرضيات تم استخدام التكرارات ، والنسب المئوية ، والإنحراف المعياري ، والمتوسط الحسابي ، واختبار (T) لعينة واحدة ، وتحليل التباين الأحادي (ANOVA) . توصلت الدراسة إلى أنه يوجد تأثير لمحتويات كل من المساق ، والتدريب الميداني ، وعضو هيئة التدريس على بناء المعارف والمهارات المهنية وبنسبة (64.4%) ، (76.6%) ، (74.2%) على التوالي ، وقد اختتمت الدراسة ببعض التوصيات لتطوير المنهاج لمواكبة العولمة والتقدم التكنولوجي.
