The Radiology Department was established in 2013 due to the local community’s need for specialists in health fields, as it proposes a four-year program to obtain a bachelor’s degree in the field of radiography in which the student studies 136 credit hours, during which he acquires distinguished scientific and practical experience in medical imaging using the latest devices in Department and university laboratories, and radiology departments in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services.

 

The department works to review the study plan periodically and regularly based on the needs of the local market, and to develop curricula in line with the scientific development and the extent of its conformity with the local and international accreditation standards by providing the latest textbooks in the department's library and the university library in addition to using modern methods in the education process, including: So use the internet. It also contains a number of scientific laboratories equipped with the latest devices and equipment to enable the student to apply the theoretical side supervised by trained technicians and have sufficient experience in this field.

 

The Department of Radiology includes a group of university professors who hold a PhD and a master's degree in the specialty in order to graduate a qualified technical cadre in the field of radiography specialization capable of imaging all body organs using the latest traditional and digital diagnostic X-ray devices, radioscopy, tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, Nuclear medicine and mammography, which contributes to the graduation of qualified scientific cadres capable of dealing with patients with high efficiency that meet the needs of the local and Arab market, especially the southern regions of the Kingdom, and contribute to the scientific research process.
