It is my pleasure to welcome you to the webpage of the Department of Biological Sciences at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. Established in 2004 as a core part of the Faculty of Science, our department has been dedicated to preparing highly qualified graduates for careers in education, healthcare, environmental sciences, and industry. Since its inception, the department has consistently aimed for excellence in education, research, and community service, ensuring that our students are well-equipped to compete in the job market.
The department offers a comprehensive and well-structured curriculum designed to keep pace with the latest advancements in biological sciences. Our carefully selected courses cover a wide range of essential and applied fields, providing our students with the necessary knowledge and skills for their future careers. The department awards a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences upon the completion of the academic program and is currently working on launching a Master’s program to further enhance scientific research and provide advanced learning opportunities.
We take great pride in our distinguished faculty and staff, which includes academic members from various ranks, along with skilled technicians, supervisors, and administrative personnel, all dedicated to creating a dynamic and enriching learning environment. Our department is equipped with modern teaching and research laboratories, in addition to a scientific museum, supporting studies in physiology, zoology, botany, microbiology, and molecular biology.
At the Department of Biological Sciences, we firmly believe that science is the foundation of societal progress. We continuously strive for development and innovation to serve our students and help build a promising future for them.
