Sulaiman M. Alnaimat is a Full Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. He received his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (2011), and completed a Fulbright-supported postdoctoral fellowship at the University of New Hampshire, USA. His research centers on whole-genome sequencing, comparative and phylogenomic analysis, and the polyphasic characterization of extremophilic bacteria and actinomycetes recovered from desert rock varnish in southern Jordan, alongside antimicrobial resistance and genome mining for secondary metabolites. He has authored twenty-five peer-reviewed publications and led four funded research projects as principal investigator. He serves as a working-group member of two EU-funded COST Actions (EURESTOP and ROOT-BENEFIT) and as a member of Jordan's national subcommittee on antimicrobial resistance. His academic leadership experience includes Vice Dean for Scientific Research, Head of the Departments of Biology and Medical Analysis, and Director of the Center for Studies, Consultations and Community Development.
